30 Days of Thanksgiving – Day 14 – Snow

Day 14 – Snow

Snow
It won’t be long before we’ll all be there with snow
Snow
I want to wash my hands, my face and hair with snow

(from Bing Crosby’s “Snow” in the movie White Christmas)

I wasn’t kidding about the changing seasons yesterday. Snow is back and in full force–expecting up to 12 inches in metro-Denver tonight. It’s great though, especially since I can stay home Sunday.

I’m very thankful for snow; our family loves it. I’m reminded of the song “Edelweiss”, the little flower resembling the “white, clean and bright” of snow. By morning, it will blanket everything and freshen the air.

I enjoy the occasional rainy day (rain may yet make my “30 Days of Thanksgiving”), but snowfall floats a softer course. Another reminder to steady the pace for a season.
