Day 30 – Count your T.P.
We made it! Giving thanks for 30 days straight. Thanksgiving Day is over, and December holidays are at bat.
I thank YOU today, the reader, the visitor, the fellow blogger, for your valuable time reading one months worth of my garb (or however few you read). Thanks also for the comments.
I learned a lesson from this exercise–it’s hard work giving thanks for the blessings in our lives. It should come as no surprise then the emphasis put on “count your blessings.” There must be something important and worthwhile to giving thanks, not just one day per year, or even 30 days, but every day.
And all I did was come up with one reason per day to give thanks. Why was that so hard? I think it’s easy for us to say “I’m thankful for this” and “I’m thankful for that.” The difficulty is explaining the reason why we are thankful for this or that. But therein lies the meat of thanks-giving. When we put words to why we’re thankful, the blessings take root.
Yeah, crap will happen, no matter how many things you give thanks for, but going #2 without a roll of T.P. will leave you bitter every time. Count the extra rolls first…you’ll be thankful you did.
Thank you all and blessings!
